Retries & backoff
When a delivery fails, Odyhook retries it on a fixed exponential schedule. There are up to 7 attempts in total — 1 initial attempt plus 6 retries. If every attempt is exhausted, the delivery stays visible in the dashboard for one-click replay.
The initial attempt runs immediately. Each retry then waits a growing delay after the previous failure:
| Retry | Delay after the previous attempt |
|---|---|
| 1st | 10s |
| 2nd | 30s |
| 3rd | 2m |
| 4th | 10m |
| 5th | 1h |
| 6th | 6h |
After the 6th retry fails, the delivery is marked exhausted.
Terminal (non-retryable) outcomes stop early instead of exhausting all attempts — there's no point retrying a delivery that can never succeed.
